The History and Culture
Also known as "The Bridge to Paradise", Bonsall was named after a Methodist minister from the 19th Century. The city itself is best known for its lush landscape, beautiful golf courses, and the San Louis Rey river.
Mostly known for it's small town feel, and rural atmosphere, Bonsall provides a myriad of outdoor activities. Most of the year, temperatures never rise above 70 degrees (with an overall high of just over 80 degrees). This helps provide the right setting for activities such as golf, horse riding, and tennis. One merely has to visit San Louis Rey Downs to enjoy a round of golf, enjoy some equestrian activites, or even play a tennis match. Residents are able to find additional activities by visiting nearby cities such as Fallbrook, Temecula, and Vista.
